Throughout this course, students continue to develop their language arts skills by reading several novels and writing several multi-paragraph compositions, including but not limited to; summaries, literary analyses, arguments, creative writings, and research essays. This course blends composition and literature into a cohesive whole. Students will also improve their critical thinking skills as they determine underlying assumptions and values within selected novels , actively participate in class discussions, and produce academic and formal written compositions.
